Snow on the Yorkshire Coast
Sprocket HQ was covered in snow in the new year, one minute it was just a normal British grey day, and the next, I woke up to white snow sprinkled all over the place. It was coming down in huge flakes, and I knew it would be here for a few days. I let Ted out into the garden, and he ran around with his tail swishing around like a helicopter's propellers. Oh, the snow makes my boy happy and into a puppy again. This is a sight I relish in, my boys going to be 10 this year, and he has an intermitten limp, so many lumps and bumps, but the snow brings that playful smile back and twinkle back in his eyes! So my aim this snow day was to make him have the happiest of times. The snow stayed for a week, so we made the most of it, wandering round the village. Walking to the post office and then one day, when I was on my own because Ted was so tired, I wandered to our local Fish and Chip restaurant. To be honest, the last time I was snowed in, I did the same, so it’s now a tradition: if it snows and I can’t drive out of the village, then I’m walking to treat myself to fish and chips! It was amazing, they are so good there! I had a bit of cabin fever that day, so getting out, having a long walk, and indulging in fish and chips was just what the doctor ordered.
It was a week of hard work at Sprocket HQ, playing in the snow, Wookie cuddles, and planning my 2026 business ideas! So watch this space.
I’m having a kiln opening in the next few weeks, so please sign up to my newsletter for the exclusive link.
The kiln opening is a rehoming event for lots of hand made Sprocket the Dogs see the image below!
